Section 2 — FAQ
Q: A feature stopped working after a YouTube update.
A: YouTube frequently updates its interface. Update the extension to the latest version first. If the issue persists, report it on GitHub — include which feature broke and what browser version you are using.
Q: The dislike count is not showing.
A: Check that the dislike count toggle is enabled in the popup or options page. The count relies on the Return YouTube Dislike public API — if that service is temporarily unavailable, the count will not show. This is expected behavior.
Q: The video quality keeps resetting.
A: YouTube may override the quality setting based on your bandwidth or device. Enable "Reapply preferred quality on navigation" in the options page. Note that quality selection is best-effort — YouTube retains final control.
Q: Alt+P is not triggering Picture-in-Picture.
A: Another extension or the page itself may be capturing the shortcut first. You can change the shortcut at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Q: Does NeatTube work on Brave, Edge, or other browsers?
A: Yes. NeatTube works on any Chromium-based browser including Brave, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc, and Comet. Firefox and Safari are not supported.
